Presented by Mostly Ghostly

In the heart of the Borderlands, stories of the restless dead have long been part of local tradition.

There are accounts of newly filled graves found disturbed, figures seen stalking the woodlands, and the dead returning to trouble the living.

Stories linked to Croglin Grange and Lochmaben Castle illustrate how these events were experienced: the fear they brought into people’s lives and the aftermath for those involved.

Across Dumfries and Galloway, the Scottish Borders and northern England, from abbeys and castles to old churchyards and isolated houses, these accounts are connected to real places and have been preserved over time.

Drawing on their research, Mostly Ghostly present an atmospheric evening of live storytelling, exploring unsettling tales from across these haunting border landscapes.
