Time Travellers Fun Day

Explore Melrose’s mesmerising with Trimontium Museum in partnership with Melrose Abbey: a day of free fun-filled activities in the Abbey & Abbey House Gardens, just next door to the Borders Book Festival, featuring:

* Treasure Hunt covering both sites
* Storytelling performances throughout the day
* Marcus the Medicus
* Roman, Iron Age & Medieval performers
* Roman style dance performances
* Craft activities
* Face painting
* Free entry to Melrose Abbey

There’s something for everyone to enjoy from 11am-4pm across the two historic sites. Look out for our costumed characters throughout the town.

No need to book just come along and have some time travelling fun! All activities are free of charge.

There are plenty of lovely places to have a picnic in the Abbey and in the gardens. Toilets are available at Melrose Abbey or in Abbey Street.

The Trimontium Museum will be open as normal in Market Square if you want to make a day of it!
