Sheep Dog World Trial 2026

The World Trial is the world championship event of sheep dog trialling, and it's coming to the Scottish Borders for the very first time! Look forward to four days of world-class competition by the most highly skilled handlers and sheep dogs in the world, alongside a countryside experience that’s fun for all the family.

With more than 300 handlers and dogs from 34 countries taking part, it's set to be a memorable event, and it's not just about the competitive sheep dog action! There's a whole host of fun things to see and do, including rural skills demos, a speed shear, local crafts, farming stars, great food and drink and a welcoming atmosphere in the beautiful Scottish Borders countryside. Plus meet social media's farming stars including Emma Gray, Dalscone Farm's Ben Best, the Red Shepherdess and Dales Farmer.
