Of Salt & Sail: An Evening inspired by Sir Walter Scott

Abbotsford, in partnership with Saltire Hospitality, are delighted to present Of Salt & Sail: An Evening Inspired by Sir Walter Scott's Northern Lighthouse Tour of 1814.

In the summer of 1814, Scott embarked on a six-week voyage around Scotland's rugged coastline aboard the Northern Lighthouse Commission's vessel, visiting remote lighthouses from Leith to the Western Isles, Orkney, Shetland and beyond.

His journals tell stories of adventure, dramatic coastlines, remarkable people and unforgettable meals, providing the inspiration for this very special evening.

This special event promises an unforgettable evening of Scottish food, storytelling, and music inspired by the voyage.
