Guest Chef Series: Allister Barsby

Join the next instalment of SCHLOSS Roxburghe Guest Chef Series - a celebration of culinary creativity and collaboration. This unique initiative pairs together acclaimed guest chefs for a series of unforgettable dining experiences.

Next in the series is Allister Barsby, chef-patron of Hide and Fox in the South of England - the only restaurant in the South of England to hold two Michelin Stars, an accolade achieved in 2025 alongside 3 AA Rosettes. Allister's culinary journey began at the acclaimed Wheelers Oyster Bar in Whitstable, before he went on to work alongside some of Britain's most celebrated Michelin-starred chefs, including David Pitchford at Read's Restaurant, the legendary Michael Caines at Gidleigh Park Hotel, and Sam Moody at The Bath Priory.

Remarkably appointed Head Chef at Gidleigh Park at just 24, he maintained its two Michelin Stars and five AA Rosettes before going on to hold the position of Executive Chef at The Grove of Narberth in Pembrokeshire. A recipient of the prestigious Caterer Acorn Award in 2015, Allister is widely regarded as one of the most exciting culinary talents in the country.

This one-night-only culinary collaboration promises an unforgettable tasting menu, complete with a pre-dinner champagne reception and an optional wine pairing.
