Gallowgrass - Independent Venue Week

Popular local band GallowGrass are back at The Vault Arts Centre in Newton Stewart for their debut headline show on Friday 30th January 2026, part of Independent Venue Week 2026 and in aid of a Crowdfunder that aims to secure the long-term future of The Vault Arts Centre.

They perform a mix of Americana/bluegrass/folk influenced tunes and songs, along with their own arrangements of tunes and songs from the bluegrass/folk traditions.

Led by dobro, banjo and guitar player, and vocalist, Nathon Jones, the band includes Rhona Jones (vocals), Roger Whitham (upright bass & vocals), Graham Rodger (guitar & vocals), Billy Jones (mandola & vocals), Easy (harmonica & vocals) and Jack Trainer (bodhran).

The gig is being held as part of this year's Independent Venue Week (ivw - Independent Venue Week) but is also in aid of a new Crowdfunder campaign that aims to secure the long-term future of The Vault Arts Centre, which is acknowledged as one of the best grassroots live music/performing arts venues in Scotland.
