Every effort has been made to verify the accuracy of the event information but we recommend contacting the event organisers before attending.

Heron & Willow presents Festival Of Stories, a day of free activity and fun in Jedburgh town centre from 12pm-4pm.

Head over to Mary Queen Of Scots House for a Nature themed Garden Party. Bring your own picnic and enjoy lots of activities including historical reenactment, music, dance, facepainting, talks and stalls with traditional crafts people, gardners and environmentalists, badge-making, children's storytelling session, a bake sale and more.

On the town square you can meet the Time Bandits, in full WWI regalia and a table full of historical trinkets. Alongside them will be the SciFi causeplayers, dressed up as all manner of nerdy heroes! Join them in fancy dress for a competition, with winners announced at 3pm.

Four writers will be in Conversation at The Carter's Rest including Douglas Watt (Historical Fiction), Alex Mullarky (Children's Fantasy), Dan Ashton (Walter Scott) and Hugh McMillan (Comedic Poetry).

Finally, you are invited to join some creative classes at The Jed Eye Hub. Children will love Dragon Stories with Chris Adriaanse. Bringing Stories To Life is a cross generational creative session, whilst collaborative writing is for more confident writers, to create something together on the day. Writing For Summer is aimed specifically at teens and encouraging creativity.

All Saturday events are free - but for some events, sign up through the website is suggested.

(look out for Festival Fringe events on the 11th, 12th, 13th & 15th of September!)
