Dark Skies at Selkirk Hill

date_range 14th October, 2026

Every effort has been made to verify the accuracy of the event information but we recommend contacting the event organisers before attending.

Join us for an evening under the stars to celebrate the dark skies above Selkirk, and have the opportunity to learn about animals that thrive in the darkness. We'll walk along Selkirk Hill discussing the impacts of light pollution on our nocturnal species, and hopefully get to see some animals with moth trapping and a bat walk.

We will meet at the Argus Centre (w3w///mere.stem.surpassed) at 7pm on Wednesday 14th of October. We will stick to the paths on the hill, but we advise wearing appropriate footwear and clothing for an evening spent outside. As it takes place after dark, please bring a torch with you if possible.
