Astronomy Night at Dumfries Museum

Dumfries Museum began its life as a windmill and was converted into an observatory in 1835 by the Dumfries and Maxwelltown Astronomical Society. For generations, it has inspired people to look up through the Camera Obscura and telescopes on show. The museum is working with Dumfries Astronomy Club to provide a stargazing opportunity at the museum. Telescopes and binoculars will be available outside while talks, tours and displays will be available inside. The event is free and you can drop in anytime. Everyone welcome. Teas and coffees will be available and donations are welcome.
