Ambrose Parry is a pseudonym for a collaboration between Chris Brookmyre and Marisa Haetzman. The couple are married and
live in Scotland. Chris Brookmyre is an international bestselling and multi-award-winning author. The Death of Shame marks his
30 th published novel. Dr Marisa Haetzman is a consultant anaesthetist of twenty years’ experience, whose research for her
Master’s in the History of Medicine uncovered the material upon which their novels are based.

+ The first three Ambrose Parry books, The Way of All Flesh, The Art of Dying and A Corruption of Blood were all shortlisted for the McIlvanney Prize for Scottish Crime Book of the Year and A Corruption of Blood and Voices of the Dead were both shortlisted for the CWA Historical Dagger.
+ The first in the series, The Way of All Flesh, is being developed for television by Glasgow-based production company Blazing Griffin, with the adaptation being written by Haetzman and Brookmyre.

Book 1 took place in Edinburgh in 1847, Book 2 in 1849, Book 3 in 1850, Book 4 in 1853 and The Death of Shame concludes the Raven & Fisher mysteries in 1854. Where will Ambrose Parry go next....
