Coastal Escape Day Trip Itinerary

A short hour from Edinburgh is the beautiful Berwickshire Coast with award winning fish & chips; private rib boat trips, historical houses and wonderful coastal scenery. A day out not to be forgotten.

Early Celtic Christianity at Whithorn

An intensive day tour to the earliest site of Christianity in Scotland. See where St Ninian founded his community, which centuries later became a pilgrimage site for the kings and queens of the House of Stuart.

The Abbeys and Priory of D&G

While the Border Abbeys may be more famous, Dumfries and Galloway has historic religious sites aplenty. There is Scotland’s most ancient Christian site, the Whithorn Priory, or Sweetheart Abbey, built in remembrance of John Balliol by his wife. Or Dundrennan Abbey where Mary Queen of Scots spent her final hours in Scotland.

Road Less Travelled – Luxury 2 Day Itinerary

A two-day tour starting on the Borders eastern coast explores Eyemouth and its dramatic coastline. Heading inland you can walk with alpacas, create your own family tartan and take a private tour of the art collection of Bowhill, the Duke of Buccleuch’s private estate. You can also add-on any of the classic Scottish pursuits from golf, fishing on the River Tweed or stalking and shooting.

Textiles in the Scottish Borders – 2 Day Itinerary

Immerse your clients in the history of textiles in the Borders. Tweeds, linens, cashmere and woollens, the manufacturers of Galashiels and Hawick drove the textile industry just as the Rivers Tweed and Teviot drove the watermills needed to power it. Today from Edinburgh or Glasgow you can experience this heritage and see the recently unveiled Great Tapestry of Scotland, detailing the history of Scotland.

A Borderland – Royalty & Raiders – 2 Day Itinerary

The border between Scotland and England has a long history of warring and raiding. But in this ‘bloodiest of regions’ you will find houses visited by royalty, landscapes where battles were presided over by kings and the UK’s only triangular castle.

Literary Adventure in South Scotland – 3 Day Itinerary

The South of Scotland was home to Robert Burns and Sir Walter Scott; it provided the inspiration for Peter Pan’s Neverland, and nestled in the west of the region is Scotland’s National Book Town, Wigtown. With these impeccable literary credentials who wouldn’t embark on an adventure to celebrate the writers of so many famous words.

History, Heritage and Culture – 4 Day Itinerary

The four Borders abbeys are just awaiting discovery as are the Borders market towns with their local shops and eateries. There are plenty of historical houses to explore in the area, allowing you to delve deep into the heritage and the culture of the area.

Scotland Starts Here – 5 Day Itinerary

Here you will experience a wonderful introduction to the Borders and all it has to offer. Ride a zip line, walk an alpaca, visit historical homes, see where tweed is made and explore the stunning scenery of the Border hills and Scotland’s south-eastern Coast.

Classic Luxury – Luxury 5 Day Itinerary

These exclusive experiences will create memories to last a lifetime – ideal for those who want to escape the crowds and get off the beaten path while holding on to a little bit of luxury. Private tours, secret locations, and luxurious accommodations – the ultimate bespoke holiday.

Northumberland, Vikings Romans and on to Where Scotland Starts – 5 Day Itinerary

Discover where Scotland truly starts, crossing from Hadrian’s wall and heading north, along the stunning Berwickshire coast and then inland to see the four great ruined abbeys, grand houses, castles and the sites of the great textile industry of the Borders.
