About The South Wing at Thirlestane Castle

Luxury meets history within our unique castle accommodation. Inspired by its history and beautiful surroundings, the accommodation is spectacularly decorated and furnished with antiques and artwork from the castle’s collections. Suites can be booked individually or by groups of up to 16.

Our overnight stay package is the perfect blend of luxury and history, designed to give a little taste of Scotland. Guests will reside in one of the elegant suites with access to communal areas and receive a castle tour by an expert guide.

In the morning guests enjoy breakfast from our continental hamper, packed full of goodies from local suppliers, including Overlangshaw organic eggs and Belhaven Smokehouse salmon. A Scottish welcome tray awaits which includes a nip of whisky, Mackies Crisps, Borders Biscuits and a gift from The Maitlands.

Every stay can be personalised with exclusive State room dining, a private tour with the owner and activities.
