This is one of five sections of the Borders Abbeys Way and consists of country lanes, riverside paths, arable farmland, and scenic views.

This circular route also follows The Rivers Tweed and Teviot and the waters Jed and Ale in part. The multi-day route is divided into five sections, however, you can divide it into sections to suit yourself. The Melrose to Kelso section of the Borders Abbey Way consists of country lanes, riverside paths, arable farmland, and scenic views.
