After following the The River Teviot this route explores the north of the town along old tracks. The River Teviot rises in the foothills of Comb Hill on the border with Dumfries and Galloway; it joins the River Tweed to the southwest of Kelso.

You will follow a section of the Borders Abbeys Way on this route.
