Whithorn's Viking Weekend

A Viking-themed encampment by Galloway Longhada Viking re-enactors on the archaeological site at Whithorn, where digs have revealed clear evidence of Viking culture and artefacts associated with a Viking market and trading town. There will be skirmishes, a Viking-inspired faering created by the Whithorn ReBuild youth trainees, some boat-themed displays, axe-throwing, bread-making on the Whithorn Roundhouse fire, Five Kingdoms Brewery and some real artefacts from 1000 years ago.
