date_range 31st July, 2024

Every effort has been made to verify the accuracy of the event information but we recommend contacting the event organisers before attending.

Up, up, up! Build and launch your own rockets. Castle Kennedy Gardens is delighted to host the Way of the Wild Ranger Christy Miles for this exciting new activity. Reach for the stars in this space race involving acid-base reaction rockets. Design and build your own rocket from recycled materials as part of a team. Learn how to defeat gravity as you launch your own rocket.

Once the activity is finished, join Christy around the campfire and have fun toasting some marshmallows to add to your S’mores. The term S’mores originated in 1927 across the pond in America. Join Christy around the fire to recreate and indulge in this tasty snack, first created by the Girl Scouts in America.

Please bring suitable outdoor clothing with you. Places are limited to 6 families and 24 individual places. NB a minimum of 4 individuals need to be booked for the event to go ahead.

Christy Miles is a qualified Outdoor and Environmentalist Educationalist and is the owner operator of Way of the Wild. She is passionate about inspiring individuals to reconnect with the natural environment.
