Eyemouth Rotary Sportive Heymooth-Tae Hill and Back

date_range 29th September, 2024

Every effort has been made to verify the accuracy of the event information but we recommend contacting the event organisers before attending.

Heymooth Tae Hill & Back, is a brilliant new charity Sportif organised by Eyemouth & District Rotary working in partnership with Malawi Fruits. We are offering a memorable and enjoyable cycling challenge in some of Scotland's best scenery and quietest roads, while raising funds to support Eyemouth Rotary, Prostate Scotland and the international charity Malawi Fruits.

The beautiful and historical village of Eyemouth – locally known as Heymooth – is the start point for two great routes:

Heymooth Gowkie Cuts is a 40 mile route mixing undulating country roads with a couple of decent climbs which bring the reward of some amazing views. Ideal for less experienced riders or those who would not be able to complete the longer route in eight hours or less.

Heymooth Mony-Nutter is a whole different proposition. 68.5 miles and 1,797 metres of climbing makes this a serious challenge.
Both routes start and finish at Eyemouth High School where there is loads of free parking. Riders can start anytime between 8am and 10am and there will be a sweep vehicle behind the last riders and Riders need to plan their start time to be finished by 5pm at the latest.
