The European Lunar Symposium (ELS) is the premier Moon-focussed meeting in Europe, attracting experts from across the world to discuss the latest developments in science and exploration of the Moon. ELS will take place at The Crichton from 16th - 21st June 2024.

As part of the ELS 2024 programme, The Open University in Scotland and The Crawick Multiverse Trust will co-host a Solstice Seminar open to the public, on 20th June. This follows on from the inaugural Solstice Seminar co-hosted by both organisations in June 2023.

The speakers Masaki Fujimoto, Bethany Elman and Tim Crane will share their experiences behind the scenes of lunar explorations, including the history of private companies being involved in space travel, and the significance of searching for water on the Moon.
