About Soutra Coffee House

A very popular little coffee shop which is known to locals and visitors to the area as an excellent to break a journey between Edinburgh and the Scottish Borders as well as meet-up with friends. You'll find baking and light meals, all homemade, as well as coffee, tea, herbal teas and soft drinks. You can expect friendly service, plenty of seating (inside and out), a children's toy corner and toilet facilities. Sit in and take-away available.

Soutra Coffee House is just off the A68, 5 minutes south of Pathhead (Midlothian) and 10 minutes north of Lauder (Scottish Borders).

The coffee shop has a superb choice of award-winning homebaking including interesting cakes, Scottish traybakes, biscuits and shortbread (always with gluten free options). Breakfast rolls are very popular including sausage, bacon, egg and a haggis & bacon option. The menu includes lots of choice of homemade soup (all gluten free), sandwiches, deli sandwiches, baked potatoes, baguettes, paninis, flatbreads and toasties.
