Drummore where Rhum is located, is the southernmost Village in Scotland, benefitting from the warm Gulf Stream the area is an ideal location for wildlife watching, coastal walking, Kayaking, Swimming and cycling. The dark sky's and clean air make for wonderful stagazing, The Auora Borealis (Northern Light's) can often be seen in the sky's over the bay. The local area has plenty of places to visit, Port logan is a lovely small bay where the movie Vanishing was filmed starring Gerrard Butler, Port Patrick is a harbour Town that has some lovely Pubs and restaurants that overlook the Harbour. Nearby Logan Botanical Gardens boasts some stunning Tropical Plants that thrive to to Drummores semi tropical climate. A little further afield a visit to the Mull of Galloway Forest Park is well worth a visit to see wild Mountain Goats perched on virtuall sheer cliff's, or the Red Kites and Red Deer all in the forrest. For star gazers the forrest is also a designated Dark Sky area.
