About Pentland Hills - Cycling

The Pentlands offer around 100 kilometres of paths to explore. Many of these paths are suitable for cyclists as well as walkers and horse riders. There are many paths with something suitable for all the family or a challenge for more experienced walkers or cyclists. Routes are colour coded for guidance; green routes are surfaced paths or tracks, yellow routes are unsurfaced paths which may be steep, rough or boggy, and red routes are over the hilltops and are not recommended for cycling.

There are a number of car parks round the base of the hills such as in Flottersone.
