The Estate around Newhailes House is set in a designed landscape full of interesting features and the woodland and estate walks with fine views are accessible to the public all year round. The Estate is a 20 minute walk along Newhailes Road from the station and there is a regular bus service. The Lothian Ranger Service is based at Newhailes and there is a varied programme of events and walks particularly suitable for families.
