Lasswade is situated only 9 miles from the city centre of Edinburgh, between the nearby villages of Dalkeith and Loanhead. It is considered a commuter town but there are still great activities for visitors. These include horse riding stables, golf driving ranges and golf courses, an alpine plant nursery and a pub and a restaurant.
