About Fushiebridge

This has not always been a quiet rural spot. At the junction with the A7 stood Fushiebridge Inn, and rows of cottages lined the lane, all now vanished. On the Gore Water was Catcune grain mill, built in 1620 and next to the railway was Catcune Granary built in 1861. The station here was once a busy railway junction with lines to Vogrie Colliery and Esperton Lime Works.
