About Bilston

Bilston is a small village in Midlothian, Scotland. It is commuter town, with many travelling to Edinburgh for work. It is also the lcocation of the Bilston Glen industrial estate.

There was controversy in the area several years ago when a proposal to build a bypass through the wooded area of Bilston Glen Woods was strongly protested. The woodland area is now occupied by a treehouse community who live in the woods and have alterterex the woodland with their make shift buildings.
