You can find a stretch of water that calls to you in the South, whether it’s a glittering loch set amongst emerald trees, or a babbling river filled with wild salmon. You can sit back and enjoy the views, or you can hop in, swim, kayak or fish. Come and discover the great lochs and rivers of our southern lands.

Where to Visit?

For lochs, the best place to be in the South is the Galloway Forest Park, but for waterfalls, you must aim for Moffat. However, in the east, we still lay claim to some spectacular bodies of water, you only have to head to St. Mary’s Loch near Selkirk to see for yourself.
