Farewell to the Galloway Hoard

The Vikings of Galloway have come to say goodbye for the final week of the museum’s exhibit of the Galloway Viking Hoard. There is a week of varied activities including meeting Hrefna and Cathbad as they teach you about different Viking-age crafts and tell you stories of the Viking-age. Make your own Viking costumes to wear as part of the Galloway Hoard Honour Guard. Visit the Viking encampment on the Soaperie Gardens and train to be part of the Galloway Hoard Honour Guard, in the evening you can join the Vikings as they ceremoniously say goodbye to the Galloway Hoard!
