Bleak Winter – A LIVE Victorian ghost story extravaganza!

14th December 2021

Every effort has been made to verify the accuracy of the event information but we recommend contacting the event organisers before attending.

The Victorians knew how to celebrate Christmas.  They decorated their houses with trees, exchanged gifts and declared joyfully, ‘Goodwill to all men.’  Yet Ebenezer was not the only unfortunate soul who felt the frosty wind of winter on his face and heard footsteps in the night…  Inspired by the forgotten Christmas ghost stories of Victorian writers long since passed, Moat Brae proudly presents a major theatrical production bringing together performances from Mostly Ghostly, Fox and Hound Theatre, Paragon Music and Dumfries & Galloway Dance in a celebration of the darker side of the festive season.  A time of the year when the lights grow dim, the earth is hard as iron, and the barriers between the worlds of the living and dead diminish. Ages 12+. Three performances per night starting at 7pm and 8pm.
